Rocket launch ng Long March 5 Y7

Kinumpirma ng Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) ang paglulunsad ng Long March 5 Y7 rocket ng People’s Republic of China. Ang inaasahang mga debris mula sa paglulunsad ng rocket ay inaasahang nahulog sa loob ng mga tinukoy na drop zone na humigit-kumulang 97 NM (DZ 1) ang layo mula sa Dalupuri Island, Cagayan at 113 NM (DZ 2) ang layo mula sa Santa Ana, Cagayan.

Ang Long March 5 Y7 ay inilunsad mula sa Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site sa Wenchang, Hainan, China bandang 07:34 PM PhST noong 23 Pebrero 2024.

Ang mga detalye ng rocket drop zone ay isiniwalat sa pamamagitan ng Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) na babala ng isang “aerospace flight activity.” Ang PhilSA ay nagpakalat ng ulat bago ang paglulunsad sa mga kaugnay na ahensya at awtoridad ng gobyerno bago ang paglulunsad.

Ang hindi nasusunog na mga labi mula sa mga rocket, tulad ng booster at faring, ay idinisenyo upang itapon habang ang rocket ay pumapasok sa kalawakan. Bagama’t hindi inaasahang mahuhulog sa mga katangian ng lupa o mga lugar na tinitirhan, ang pagbagsak ng mga labi ay nagdudulot ng panganib at potensyal na panganib sa mga barko, sasakyang panghimpapawid, bangkang pangisda, at iba pang sasakyang-dagat na dadaan sa drop zone. Mayroon ding posibilidad na lumutang ang mga labi sa paligid ng lugar at mahugasan patungo sa mga kalapit na baybayin.

Inulit ng PhilSA ang kanilang naunang payo para sa publiko na ipaalam sa mga lokal na awtoridad kung ang mga pinaghihinalaang debris ay makikita. Nag-iingat din ang PhilSA laban sa pagkuha o pakikipag-ugnay sa mga materyales na ito na maaaring naglalaman ng mga labi ng mga nakakalason na sangkap tulad ng rocket fuel.#
