CHEER PILIPINAS, kinilala ng Philippine Olympic Committee na National Governing Body ng Larong Cheer

July 21, 2023 – Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, kinilala ng Philippine Olympic Committee ang larong Cheer na isang palarong pambansa. Bunsod ito nang opisyal na pagkakaluklok ng Cheer Pilipinas na Associate Member ng Philippine Olympic Committee matapos itong kilalanin ng International Cheer Union (ICU) bilang kinatawan at magsisilbing National Governing Body para sa larong Cheer ng bansang Pilipinas.

Disyembre 30, 2022 pa nang opisyal na inihayag ni Jeff Webb, Pangulo ng International Cheer Union (ICU) ang Cheer Pilipinas bilang tanging National Federation Member at nag-iisang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa laro ng cheer, ayon sa website ng International Cheer Union (https://www.cheerunion.org/).

Taong 2009 pa nang naging kasapi ang Cheer Pilipinas ng International Cheer Union (ICU) at napanatili nito ang ang mga karapatan at pribilehiyo ng pagiging miyembro dahil sa pagtalima nito sa mithin at prinsipyo ng ICU bukod pa sa pagiging huwaran nito sa pagsusulong ng larong Cheer sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo.
