International Baking Exhibition highlights the “Kasalang Pinoy” and “Angel Cup” on March 2-4 at WTC

Bakery Fair is the international Exhibition on Bakery, Confectionery, and Foodservice Equipment and Supplies organized by Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association every two years. This event is a one-stop destination for all baking practitioners and baking enthusiasts alike.

Last Bakery Fair 2019, 60 cake displays in the lobby of the World Trade Center, and showcased approximately 200 booths featuring everything baking related – from equipments, supplies, trainings, and services.

This year is the comeback of the Bakery Fair after the global pandemic and signals of the revival of the Philippine baking industry. Gerik Chua admitted that many of their members were affected of the global pandemic.

Today, one day before Valentine’s Day, the Filipino Chinese Bakery Association, Inc. (FCBAI) announced the forthcoming Bakery Fair on March 2-4, 2023 at World Trade Center.

During the press conference, FCBAI President Gerik Chua told the press that one of the exciting events of Bakery Fair 2023 is the FCBAI Bakers Cup Wedding Cake Competition with the theme”Kasalang Pinoy”, wherein the first prize winner will have a chance to receive a prize worth P80,000.00.

Another competition in the Bakery Fair is the “Angel Cup 2023”. The Angel Cup Bread Display Competition is the making of Bread Showpiece, Artisan Bread, Healthy Bread and Sweet Dough with dough filling.

Filipino Chinese Bakery Association (FCBAI) is a non-stock, non-profit corporation in the service of the Philippines’ baking industry. They organize events, seminars and workshops for professional bakers and baking enthusiasts to aid in the advancement and growth of all baking practitioners, to be able to quickly adapt to more sophisticated consumer tastes and to be sustainable and competitive both in the local and international market. FCBAI has 45 members and 55 Allied Members and actually part of Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII). # (Cathy Cruz)
