32 Farmers, Cooperatives and Associations (FCA) in Zamboanga del Sur were the recipients of Php 99,030,000.00 worth of farm machinery under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Component under Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Provincial government of Zamboanga del Sur during the mass machinery distribution held at Megayon, Dao, Pagadian City on February 8, 2021.
The program aims to raise rice farmers’ productivity, profitability and global competitiveness through strengthened access and use of appropriate production and post production mechanization technologies. # # # (DA-RFO IX, RAFIS)
