To further strengthen the fight against African Swine Fever through the Bantay ASF sa Barangay (BaBay ASF), the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 02 on January 22, 2021 met with the Provincial and City Veterinarians and Agriculturists and DA attached agencies.
Regional Executive Director Narciso A. Edillo discussed the 12 paradigms under the One DA Approach and the need for a unified effort in the control and eradication of ASF through a whole of a nation approach.
He encouraged the immediate implementation of renewed strategies indicated in the Regional Action Plan on ASF.
“There is a need to educate stakeholders up to the barangays to ensure an all-around approach in our fight against the disease,” he said.
DA-RFO 02 shall also meet with other stakeholders to intensify its efforts on surveillance and monitoring activities on the ground. # # # (DA-RFO II, RAFIS)
