KWF, Pararangalan ang mga Ulirang Guro!

Labindalawang gurong mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa ang hinirang ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino bilang mga Ulirang Guro sa Filipino para sa taóng 2017 dahil sa pagsusulong ng Wikang Filipino at mga wika at kultura ng kanilang rehiyon.
Ang mga gagawaran ay sina Tiongan, Jenefer (Benguet National High School), Daguison, Joselito (Pangasinan National High School), Ponhagban, Richard (Diffun National High School), Medrano Rosalina (Batangas National High School), Gaspar, Winnaflor (Batasan Hills National High School), Ompoc, Eva, (Eusebio High School), Makabenta, Ricardo (Manuel S. Rojas Elementary School), Balunsay, Jovert (Pambansang Unibersidad ng Catanduanes), Jamisola, Ricky (Abuyog National High School), Celeste, Michelle (Iloilo National High School), Singcolan, Judith (Bukidnon State University), Calibayan, Maria Luz (University of Southern Mindanao).
Ang mga tatanggap ng gawad ay pinili batay sa kanilang mga makabuluhang ambag sa mga saliksik pangwika at pangkutura ng kanilang rehiyon, mga gawain sa pagpapalaganap at promosyon ng Wikang Filpino, kultura, at wika ng rehiyon sa larangan ng pagtuturo sa kanilang komunidad sa pamamagitan ng publikasyon, seminar, pagsasanay, palihan, at iba pang katulad na gawain, at pangunguna sa pagpapahalaga sa pamánang pangwika at pangkultura ng Filipinas kaagapay ng pagtataguyod at pagpapaunlad sa wikang Filipino.
Ang Ulirang Guro ay taunang ibinibigay ng KWF sa mga pilî at karapat-dapat na guro sa Filipino sa kahit anong antas ng edukasyon sa bawat rehiyon.  Nilalayon ng pagbibigay ng gawad na maitaguyod at maipagparangalan ang mga natatanging guro na patuloy na katuwang ng KWF sa pagtataguyod at pagpapaunlad ng wikang Filipino at mga wikang katutubo.
Ang parangal ay gaganapin sa 7 Setyembre 2017 sa Luxent Hotel, Timog Ave, Diliman, Lungsod Quezon, ganap na 4nh.
