GAWANG PINOY NA MULTI MISSION OFFSHORE VESSEL INILUNSAD NG BFAR

KAUNA-UNAHANG BARKO, GAWANG PINOY!

Muli na naming ipinamalas ng Pilipino ang galing sa inilunsad ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na 50 meter multi mission offshore vessel sa shipyard ng Josefa Slipways Inc. ngayong araw, August 10, 2017 sa Navotas City.

Halos 300 katao na propesyonal at laborers na taga-Navotas ang bumuo ng kambal na barko na tinagurian ni Kalihim Manny Piñol na Lapu-Lapu (DA-BFAR MMOV 5001) at Francisco Dagohoy (DA-BFAR MMOV 5002).

Ayon kay Commodore Eduardo Gongona, ang mga nasabing barko ay upang paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa illegal, hindi nakaulat (unreported) at hindi naayon sa batas (unregulated) na pangingisda. Sa kasalukuyan ay mahigit na sa 100 floating assets ang BFAR.

Sinabi ni DA Secretary Piñol na asahan na 5 barko bawat taon sa loob ng panunungkulan ni Pangulong Duterte ang nakatakdang gawin upang matiyak na mabantayan ang yamang dagat at teritoryo ng Pilipinas.

Dagdag pa nya, hindi lamang pagdami ng makakaing yamang dagat ang dala ng paglulunsad ng kauna-unang barko na gawang Pinoy kundi magbibigay din ito ng trabaho sa mga propesyonal at karaniwang manggagawa dahil muling magbubukas ito ng ship building industry sa bansa.

Pinatunayan naman ni Cong. Toby Tiangco na ang dating malakas na ship building industry sa bansa ay humina at marami sa mga nagsara ay lumabas ng bansa o napunta sa fishing industry.

Samantala, ang naturang barko ay magagamit din sa research, survey at rescue operations na patatakbuhin ng 40-60 katao.

Ayon kay Arturo S. Balahadia, Operations and Marketing Manager ng Josefa Slipways Inc., gawa ang kambal na barko ng isang matibay na uri ng bakal na posibilidad na mangyari sa panahon na naglalakbay ito sa karagatan, ang AH 36. Dahil dito hindi lamang sa karagatan ng Pilipinas kaya nitong maglakbay kundi maging sa ibang bansa.

Sa loob ng 2 buwan ay ikokomisyon ang kambal na barko at sa darating na Oktubre 20 ay makikita nang naglalayag sa katubigan ng Pilipinas na itataon sa anibersaryo ng Philippine Coast Guard.

Pawang larawan ng kagalakan at pagmamalaki ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan na sina Department of Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel B. Piñol, Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana, Lone District of Navotas Cong. Tobias Reynald M. Tiangco, Cong. Gary Alejano, at iba pa na nagsidalo sa nasabing paglulunsad. (Cathy Cruz)
