LOPEZ, MAKIKIPAGPULONG SA MGA MANGINGISDA NG LAGUNA DE BAY

Magsasagawa ng isang pagpupulong si DENR Secretary Gina Lopez kasama ang mga nagpapatakbo at nag mamay-ari ng mga  baklad sa Laguna de Bay bago ipatupad moratorium sa pag issue at pag renew ng kani-kanilang permit sa susunod na taon.

 

Ayon kay DENR Undersecretary Arturo Valdez, ang pag-uusap na ito ay upang tiyakin na ang mga maliliit na mangingisda ang magiging prayoridad na gumamit ng Laguna de Bay.

 

Bago pa man ito ay ilang malalaking baklad na rin ang dinemolish ng pamahalaan sa pangunguna ni Valdez na siya ring pinuno ng National Anti-Environmental Task Force (NAECTF).

 

Ayon pa kay Valdez, higit sa pagpapaluwag ng lawa, ang mga demolisyon na naganap ay isang mensahe para sa mga illegal operators na hanguin na ang kanilang mga isda at kusa nang tanggalin ang kanilang mga baklad bago pa ito maabutan ng gobyerno.

 

Ang mga hakbanging ito ng DENR ay alinsunod sa pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang unang SoNA na tanggalin ang mga naglalakihang baklad na pag mamay-ari ng mga kumpanya.

 

Sa kasalukuyan may higit sa 12,000 ektarya ang inookupa ng mga baklad sa lawa. Malayo sa 9,000 ektaryang kapasidad at ideyal na kabuuang laki ng mga palaisdaan. Kung mawawala ang halos 2,000 illegal operators sa lawa, inaasahang 3,000 ektarya ng palaisdaan ang matatanggal. (Aljhon Amante)
