The Science Education Institute (SEI),DOST hold for this year, Youth Excellence in Science and Mathematics Award at the PHIVOCS Auditorium, U.P. Campus, Diliman, Quezon City on February 04, 2016.
The Awarding Rites is in recognition for Filipino students from different schools who have made an excellent performance in International Competition for Science and Mathematics as well. They gave an honor to our country by bringing home the medals they have achieved.
For the record, there is a tremendous increase in number of awardees each year. For 2015 alone, there are 596 awardees. From 2007 to the present it has already reached to a total of 3,000.
Based on the data, it shows that our country is capable enough to produce science professionals in the future. Being gifted with a brilliant minds particularly in the field of Science they are challenged to lead its path and propel our country towards a better future by using the innovation of technology in order to boost our industries and to lift our economy in its highest horizon.
