Village-Level Processing Center for Siquijor farmers

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has recently turned over four village-level processing centers to Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) in  Siquijor.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer  II Louie L. Naranjo said the four processing centers for squash noodles, herbal oil, dairy milk and peanut were inaugurated for Basac Womens Association (BWA) of Larena town,  Siquijor Womens Association for a Better Environment (SWABE)  of Siquijor, Kapunungansa Pagpalambo sa Nasudnong Industriya sa Gatas (Kapanig) of San Juan and Triple M Farmers Association (TMFA) of Lazi, Siquijor respectively.

Naranjo said the DAR allotted P1.2 million for the four projects and the  four local government units shared P450,000.00.

He added that the project aims to develop the market competitiveness of agrarian reform beneficiaries’ products.
