Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P750, 000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, during an entrapment operation in Naga City on November 7, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. said that the illegal drug was confiscated from suspects identified as Francis Tayco, alias Boto, 38 years old; and Reynante Pamarang, 32, both residents of San Cirilo, Pasacao, Camarines Sur.
At around 3:00 in the afternoon, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 5 (PDEA RO5) Camarines Sur Provincial Office under the direct supervision of Director Bryan Babang conducted a buy-bust operation along Maharlika Highway, Barangay Mabolo, Naga City that led to the arrest of Tayco and Pamarang, who yielded 11 pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing 150 grams of shabu worth P750, 000.
Tayco and Pamarang will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
