DRUG DEN MAINTAINER, 5 CUSTOMERS ARRESTED DURING SEARCH IN CEBU

Armed with a search warrant, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) neutralized a drug den and arrested its suspected maintainer and five others in Cebu City on November 7, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., identified the suspects as Mario Campil Sacedo, 30 years old, a resident of Barangay Tisa, Cebu City; Jomyl Gallardo, 28; Cliffton Billones, 36; Merlito Segara, 40; Martin Regidor, 19; and Joven Luna, 28.

Sacedo, who is the subject of the search warrant, is believed to be the one maintaining the drug den.

At around 7:00 in the evening, agents of PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO7) under Director Jeffrey Bangsa implemented a search warrant at a house utilized as a drug den in Platinum Street, Riva Ridge, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City that led to the arrest of Sacedo and company.

Confiscated inside were 31 plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing more or less 60 grams, with an estimated value of P600, 000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Sacedo will be charged for violation of Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and Other Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of RA 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while cases for violation of Section 7 (Visitors/Employees of a Drug Den) of the anti-drug law, await the others.
