A 45-year-old barangay kagawad was arrested by combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police after he sold methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to a poseur-buyer on August 17, 2015 in Marinduque.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Arnaldo Jardiniano, alias Etong, a barangay kagawad of Barangay San Miguel, Boac, Marinduque.
At around 3:25 in the afternoon, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 4B (PDEA RO4B) Marinduque Special Enforcement Team (SET) under Director Archie Grande, Marinduque Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) Police Provincial Office (PPO), Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 4B, Regional Intelligence Division 4B and Boac Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of Jardiniano in his own barangay in Barangay San Miguel.
Confiscated from him was one plastic sachet of shabu and the genuine P500 bill used as marked money.
Jardiniano will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
