5 QC HEALTH  CENTERS TO PROVIDE CHEAPER DIALYSIS

Cancer patients will soon save more than four thousand pesos in dialysis sessions  in Quezon City health centers in five of the city’s  districts.

Quezon City officials led by Mayor Herbert M. Bautista is ironing out some provisions in the implementation of QC dialysis service in  health centers at Toro Hills in District 1, Donya Nicasia in District 2, Escopa in District 3, Kamuning in District 4 and Novaliches in District 5.

Once all-set, city residents who are suffering from cancer and have to undergo dialysis will only shell out P1,000 compared to P5,000 or more that are normally charged by private  hospitals or dialysis centers.

Mayor Bautista said that charging P1,000 per session to dialysis patients is reasonable enough to defray the cost of the dialysis operation and utilities. The city government will subsidize the remaining expenses for the said procedure as health assistance to the city’s cancer patients.

Senior citizens who will avail themselves of the service will still enjoy the 20 percent discount from the P1,000 standard charge.

The Mayor had already instructed that Quezon City official website post who may be in need.

Mayor  Bautista also ordered the web-posting of the various prices of health services or procedure in  the city-owned and operated  Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) and Novaliches District Hospital and health centers.(Maureen Quiñones, PAISO)
