ZAMBALES set for Dinamulag 2015

The Provincial Government of Zambales, in cooperation with the Provincial Agriculture Office and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales Provincial Office is organizing a trade fair during the annual DINAMULAG Festival. The fair features the popular product of Zambales – mango.

The DTI is supporting the Provincial Tourism and Investment Office in the 14th annual celebration of the Dinamulag Zambales Mango Festival to be held at the Zambales Sports Complex in Iba, Zambales on April 15 to 18, 2015.

Aside from the trade fair, the province-wide festival also lines up activities like the Cultural Showcase from the province’s indigenous people, Mountain Biking competition, Marching Band exhibition, Motocross Challenge, Street dancing, Skydiving Exhibition, Mt. Tapulao Ultra Marathon, Swimming Competition and the Binibining Zambales Grand Pageant.

Around seventy (70) Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from the different parts of the province are expected to participate in the four-day trade fair, with Mango as the primary product for showcase.  Zambales has four (4) major mango processors who will showcase mango based products like mango wine, dried mango, chutney, vinegar and nectar juice.

The provincial government of Zambales supported and developed the festival from its humble beginnings as a small activity organized by the Zambales Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (SMED Council), with the DTI Provincial Office as the secretariat.

Now on its 14th year, the festival has grown in popularity and activities with local and foreign visitors regularly visiting the colorful festival and its exciting activities.

For its part, the DTI continues to support SMEs in the province especially those in the mango and food industry.  DTI has provided facilities for the processing of mango, fish and food products for cooperators in the province under its Shared Services Facilities (SSF) flagship program.
