TWO MIMAROPA DRUG PUSHERS FALL

Two suspected drug personalities fell in the hands of operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police during separate anti-drug operations in the MIMAROPA Region.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as Jerome Tividad Pacheco, 37 years old, a resident of Pangilinan Street, Barangay 1, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro; and Ramil Batul Galang, 47, of Purok Tres, San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

On July 21, 2015, at around 9:00 in the morning, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 4B (PDEA RO4B) under Director Archie Grande and Paluan Municipal Police Station implemented a search warrant in Barangay 1, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro that led to the arrest of Pacheco in his house.

Seized inside were four plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, eight disposable lighters, 21 pieces of tooter and two mobile phones.

Pacheco will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section12 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On July 24, 2015, elements of PDEA RO-4B Palawan conducted an entrapment operation which resulted in the arrest of Galang in Abad Santos Court, Barangay Bancao Bancao, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer at around 7:38 inthe evening. Galang also yielded an additional sachet of the illegal drug.

A case for violation of Section 5 of RA 9165 awaits Galang. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
