TARGET-LISTED PUSHER YIELDS 350 GRAMS OF SHABU IN BUTUAN CITY

A suspected shabu pusher who was included in the Target List of drug personalities in the province of Agusan del Norte (CARAGA Region) was arrested by anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA during a buy-bust operation in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte on June 3, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Norhasan H. Mustapha, 34 years old, jobless, target-listed drug personality and a resident of Raya Madaya, Marawi City.

Mustapha was arrested by the elements of PDEA Regional Office 13 (PDEA RO 13) under Director Julius R. Navales in Sevilla Bachelor’s Pad, Purok 9, Brgy. Libertad, Butuan City when he agreed to sell a sachet of shabu to a PDEA undercover agent.

Confiscated from Mustapha were one heat-sealed sachet containing suspected to be shabu, two pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 350 grams and the marked money used during the operation.

Cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being prepared for filing in court against Mustapha.

On the same day at around 7:10 in the evening, the same law enforcement unit of PDEA RO13 implemented two search warrants in Purok 7, Brgy. 17, Port Poyohon, Butuan City that led to the arrest of seven drug personalities and the neutralization of a drug den.

The drug den owner was identified as Josepher Consolacion y Navarro, 35, of Purok 7, Brgy. Port Poyohon, Butuan City.  Also arrested were six visitors who were inside the den: Jeffrey Balani y Sanggalia, 30, a resident of Purok 8, Brgy. Upper Doongan Relocation, Butuan City; Glenmark Garcia y Mahinay, 31, multicab driver, residing in Purok 7, Brgy. 23, Holy Redeemer, Butuan City; Gilbert Jamero y Lamanilao, 30,of  Purok East, Cubi-Cubi, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte; Freddie Lapening y Montejo, 33, Purok 1A, Brgy. 1, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur; Rolly Bade y Baybayon , 35, a resident of Purok 8, Brgy. Obrero, Slaughter, Butuan City; Wilson Jaime Jr. y Penzerga, 38, a resident of Purok 7, Pag-asa, Alviola Village, Butuan City; and Randel Del Pilar, 39, of Purok 8, Brgy. Upper Doongan, Butuan City.

Confiscated from the suspects were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, 11 pieces of ammunition for caliber 45, 18 pieces of ammunition for 5.58 mm rifle and one cellular phone.

Consolacion will be facing charges for violation of Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and Other Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The six drug den visitors will be charged for violation of Section 7 (Visitor of a Drug Den).

An Additional charge for violation of RA10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) will be filed against Consolacion.

On the same day, after an hour of anti-drug operation, the same law enforcement unit implemented another search warrant against alias Marife, in Purok 7, Brgy. 17, Port Poyohon, Butuan City. However, the subject was not present during the operation.

Arrested during the search were Von Michael Tindoy y Pantallon, 32, driver, a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City; and Joel Tobias y Porsuelo, 29, of Purok 1, Brgy. Port Poyohon, Butuan City, who were inside the den.

Seized from the suspects were one piece of heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu and various drug paraphernalia.

Tindoy and Tobias will be charge for violation of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165 (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
