P800,000 worth of shabu confiscated
A 24-year-old Chinese national was arrested by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after he sold methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to poseur-buyer in Binondo, Manila.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Wu Yiguo, a resident of Yuchengco Street, Binondo, Manila.
On July 7, 2015 at around 4:30 in the morning, a drug transaction was hatched between the suspect and a PDEA undercover agent who agreed to meet in Yiguo’s neighborhood along the corners of Dasmariñas and Yuchengco Streets.
Upon a pre-arranged signal, elements of PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under Director Erwin Ogario immediately pounced on the suspect after he handed-over a transparent plastic bag containing 200 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with an estimated street value of P800,000.
Yiguo also yielded a gray-colored Toyota Fortuner with plate number AOR-689.
A case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared for filing in court against Yiguo, who is presently detained at PDEA RO-NCR Jail Facility (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
