PDEA ARRESTS WANTED DRUG PERSONALITY IN BATAAN

A wanted drug personality was arrested by anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during the implementation of a warrant of arrest in the province of Bataan on June 9, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Alex Dimacaling, alias Ali Daud y Bangon, 28 years old, married, of Tugatog, Orani, Bataan.

At around 11:30 pm, operatives of PDEA Regional Office- National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under the direct supervision of Director Erwin S. Ogario implemented a warrant of arrest issued by Honorable Ali M. Balindong, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 5, Iligan City in Brgy. Gabon, Abucay, Bataan which led to the arrest of Dimacaling.

“The said warrant of arrest is in relation to the anti-drug operation that was conducted by operatives of PDEA Regional Office 10 on April 8, 2014 in Gaisano Mall, Ilgan City that led to the arrest of Asliah Sambitory y Dimacaling, alias Arnisah Daud y Bangon, when she claimed a package from a known courier company. The operation also resulted to the confiscation of 955.33 grams of shabu concealed in a speaker box” Cacdac said.

During her interrogation, Sambitory revealed that it was Dimacaling who sent the package containing the illegal drug to her.

Dimacaling is temporarily detained at the PDEA RO NCR jail facility. He will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Transporting of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.  (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
