Two male pushers arrested
Suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, worth P2,000,000 was confiscated by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Manila on July 6, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. said that the illegal drug, which weighed approximately 500 grams contained inside a self-sealing plastic bag, was confiscated from suspects identified as Johary Noor, 24 years old; and Amir Salong, 25.
At around 9:00 in the evening, operatives of PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) Special Enforcement Team under Director Erwin Ogario arrested Noor and Salong after they sold the illegal drug to an undercover PDEA agent who disguised himself as a buyer in front of a popular fast food chain restaurant in Plaza Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Seized from the suspects’ possession was the genuine P1,000 marked bill placed on top of the boodle money.
Noor and Salong will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are presently under the custody of PDEA RO-NCR. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
