A suspected female pusher was arrested by agents of thePhilippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on June 22, 2015. Seized from her was P3 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Mila Somira, 25 years old, separated and a resident of Baclaran, Parañaque City.
A drug transaction between Somira and a PDEA undercover agent posing as a buyer was hatched at around 3:00 in the afternoon in front of a restaurant along Mall of Asia, Seaside Boulevard, Pasay City, to facilitate the sale of one kilogram of shabu worth P3,000,000 placed inside a self-sealing transparent plastic bag.
After Somira received the marked money in exchange for the illegal drug, elements of PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under Director Erwin Ogario immediately arrested her.
Somira will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
