A suspected drug courier fell in the hands of combined operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the serving of a warrant of arrest in General Santos City on July 9, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Noel Romeo Laguiman Moquia, 62 years old, a wanted drug personality and a resident of NLSA Road, Barangay Lagao, General Santos City.
At around 5:10 in the afternoon, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO12) under Director Lyndon Aspacio and General Santos City Police Office Police Station 3 served a warrant of arrest against Moquia which resulted in his arrest in his neighborhood in Barangay Lagao. He has previous offense for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 0f 2002.
Moquia will be turned over before the court for the issuance of commitment order in the City Jail, Lanton, Barangay Apopong, General Santos City. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
