A 71-year old suspected drug personality was arrested by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City on July 13, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Samman Arasi Asiddin, single and a resident of Barangay Aladoyong, Lugos, Sulu.
At around 9:00 in the morning, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 9 (PDEA RO9) under the direct supervision of Director Joseph Ladip arrested Asiddin after he was caught red-handed in possession of two plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu,with an estimated street value of P5,180 at the vicinity of Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.
Asiddin will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The
Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
On the same day, at around 5:05 am, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO7) under Director Jeffrey Bangsa and Special Operations Group Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office implemented a search warrant in Cadawinonan Housing Project, Dumaguete City that led to the arrest of Evangeline Argote, alias Inday, 39, who yielded 19 plastic sachets of shabu.
