PDEA GIVES RECOGNITION TO 3 REGIONAL OFFICES, NAIA-IADITG AND LAGRO HIGH SCHOOL, QUEZON CITY

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) gave recognition to its three regional offices, Ninoy Aquino International
Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) and Lagro High School, Quezon City for their significant anti-drug operations.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. personally presented the plaques of recognition and awards to the awardees during the agency’s flag-raising ceremony on July 20, 2015 at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City.

PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under Director III Erwin S. Ogario received the “Wagas na Paglilingkod Award” for the successful conduct of a buy-bust operation on June 22, 2015 along Mall of Asia, Pasay City which resulted the confiscation of one kilogram of shabu with an estimated value of P3.5 million pesos and the arrest of a drug personality.

PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO7|) under Director Jeffrey A. Bangsa was cited for the successful buy-bust operation in Gaisano Capital South, Cebu City on July 10, 2015 which resulted in the seizure of 1,003 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1.2 million and the arrest of two drug personalities.

Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) under Director Erwin S. Ogario of RO-NCR, the award was recognized for their meritorious performance in the
successful conduct of interdiction operation which resulted in the confiscation of 1,358 tablets of ecstasy with an street value of P2 million on June 29, 2015 at the Central Mail Exchange Center–Philippine Postal Corporation, Pasay City.

PDEA Regional Office 3 (PDEA RO3) under Director Gladys F. Rosales was cited for the successful conduct of a buy-bust operation  on June 22, 2015 in  District Mall, Imus, Cavite which resulted in the confiscation of one kilogram of  shabu with an estimated value of P2.8 million and the arrest of a Chinese national.

In coordination with Lagro High School, Quezon City, PDEA RO-NCR conducted anti-drug lectures and awareness to the hearing impaired students under the Special Education Program (SPED). After one of the lectures conducted in relation to the National Drug Prevention Program for the deaf and hard of hearing and with the guidance of their teachers, made posters in appreciation of the knowledge they received through sign language.
