LOCAL DRUG GROUP MEMBER BUSTED IN PANGASINAN

A local drug group member was arrested by combined agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police after he sold methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to a poseur-buyer in Pangasinan.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Henry Subido, with aliases Marcus and Macoy, 52 years old, a resident of Sitio Casubiduan, Barangay Bugayong, Binalonan,Pangasinan.

Subido is a member of Trese Drug Group operating in Pangasinan.

On July 14, 2015 at around 3:30 in the afternoon, an undercover agent of PDEA Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) under Director Adrian Alvariño entered into a transaction with Subido for the purchase of one plastic sachet containing shabu. They agreed to meet in Subido’s own turf in Barangay Bugayong.

Upon the pre-arranged signal, elements of PDEA RO1, in collaboration with teams from the PNP Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG), Binalonan Police Station and Pozorrubio Police Station immediately arrested Subido who yielded the buy-bust money.

Subido will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the
Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On July 13, 2015, agents of PDEA RO1, together with teams from Vigan City Police Station, Ilocos Sur PAIDSOTG, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Ilocos Sur Police Public Safety Company (PPSC) implemented an authorized search which resulted in the arrest of Geronimo Arcano, alias Rhonnie, 53, in his house in Barangay Capangpangan, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. He yielded two plastic sachets of shabu and various drug paraphernalia.

A case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) of RA 9165 awaits Arcano.(Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
