ED VILLANUEVA SERYOSO SA KAMPANYA NG TAMANG PAGBABAYAD NG BUWIS

Muli na namang umarangkada ang mapanuring Tresurero ng Lungsod Quezon na si Edgar T. Villanueva dahil sa natuklasang malaking kinikita ng ‘advertising agencies’ na nagpapasok ng patalastas sa tatlong malalaking ‘television networks’ na nasasakupan ng nasabing siyudad.

Ilan sa mga Advertising Agency ngayon na nasa Lungsod Quezon ang apektado ng masidhing kampanya ng Kalihim ng Lungsod na si Edgar T. Villanueva sa tamang pagbabayad ng buwis ay ang Absolute Media Incorporated, Ad Sustain Communication, Alternative Comm. Company, AQ Advertising Incorporated, B&W Omnimedia, Inc., BC Concepts, Inc., Brand Benefits Advertising, Inc., GS Advertising, Ideas and Images, Inc., JBC Food Corp., JCB Advertising, K Station, Mediascape Inc., Mediatrade Exchange Inc., Mertz Advertising and Marketing, Inc., MGM ADVTG & Communications, MKS Marketing Consulting, Montage Studios, MQ Mediazone Production, Multirich Food Corporation, Outbox Media Production Agency, Philippine Information Agency, Pinnacle Foods Incorporated, Prime Media UNLTD, Inc., Republic Biscuit Corporation, RH TV & Radio Ads, Solid Ink Media Services, SPI-Corporation, Suncrest Foods, Inc., at Sven Ingenuity Inc. na pawang mga komersiyal sa telebisyon ng ABS-CBN.

Nadiskubre ng City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) na hindi naidedeklara ang mga komisyong naibibigay sa advertising agencies nang magsumite ng ‘financial statements’ ang mga nabanggit na network. 

Sa kasalukuyan ay tinitiyak din umano ng lokal na pamahalaan kung may kaukulang  ‘business permits’ ang mga ‘advertising agencies’ na nabanggit.

Dahil sa pagsasakatuparan ng ng tamang pagbabayad ng buwis kahit malalaking himpilan ng telebisyon ay di ligtas sa mahigpit ngayong pagsusuri ng CTO at inaasahan na hindi lamang GMA 7, ABS-CBN Channel 2 kundi maging ang TV 5.

Batay umano sa pagsusuri, lumalabas na hindi naidedeklara ng malalaking himpilan ng telebisyon tulad ng ABS-CBN 2 at GMA 7 ang komisyon ng mga ‘advertising agency’ maging ng ‘co-producers’ ng isang programa sa mga patalastas na pumapasok sa kani-kanilang istasyon bago pa man ilahad ang kita ng naturang kumpanya sa lokal na pamahalaan.

Sinasabing noong 2010 ay nasa P3,020,434,976.55 ang kabuuang komisyon na ibinigay ng ABS-CBN sa mga advertising agency na nagpasok sa kanila ng mga anunsyo sa telebisyon samantala sa GMA 7 naman ay nasa P2,284,567,273 ang kabuuang komisyong ibinigay din nila.

Umaabot sa kabuuang P97,909,124.24 ang kabuuang kinita ng mga ‘advertising agency’ na ito na pawing nasasakop ng Lungsod Quezon habang P2,922,525,852.32 naman ang nasa labas ng siyudad.

Kabilang din sa mga posibilidad na susuriin kung nakapagbabayad ng buwis ang mga co-producer ng Kapamilya at Kapuso network. Sinasabing noong nakaraang taon ay nasa P914,217,608.81 ang ibinayad na komisyon ng ABS-CBN Channel 2 sa mga ‘co-producer’ nila habang P86,253,518 naman ang sa GMA 7. Cathy Cruz, DWAD Lingkod Bayan
