The Quezon City government is continuously beefing up efforts to achieve greater efficiencies in the delivery of public service.
On Monday, Mayor Herbert Bautista provided additional computer sets to the office of the city building official and the city planning development office, and in the process reiterated his administration’s effort to harness new technologies to sustain the city’s development. “
New technology must be used more and more in improving public convenience in availing of city services. My goal is for more of our communication to be paperless and for more of our publics to be able to interact with the city government, from the comfort of their homes or offices,” the Mayor said.
City building official Engr. Isagani Versoza personally received from Mayor Bautista the new equipment, which he said, will be instrumental in the upgrading of systems of his office.
Earlier, the Department of Building Official began processing building permit applications through the internet. Building permit applicants now can also download application form, follow-up and inquire on the requirements and other information on securing building permits through the web.
The city planning and development office was represented by Joel Pineda during the turnover ceremony.
The new computer sets were donated to the city by Millennium Erectors Corporation (MEC), a QC-based contractor. (Precy/ Ramir/ Ej. Maureen Quiñones, PAISO)
