BANAL OVERPASS PINASINAYAAN

LOYOLA-PANSOL FOOTBRIDGE.  Quezon City Congressman Jorge “Bolet” Banal, Jr. is assisted by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) regional director Reynaldo Tagudando in a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the inauguration of the Loyola-Pansol footbridge along the President Garcia (C5) extension (CP Garcia to Commonwealth Avenue). Built through the initiative of Congressman Banal, the new footbridge is intended to ensure the safety and well-being of pedestrians in the area, especially schoolchildren from the nearby Balara Elementary School. The office of Congressman Banal coordinated closely with the DPWH to facilitate the construction of the pedestrian overpass, which was built at a cost of P24 million.  Also in photo are Councilors Allan Benedict Reyes and Gian Carlo Sotto, former councilor Jorge Banal, Sr., barangay officials from Barangay Loyola Heights and Pansol and other QC and DPWH officials.  Precy/ Ramir/ Ej/ Maureen Quiñones, PAISO

  1. Dear Congressman Bolet,

Congratulations on the people’s project Loyola-Pansol footbridge overpass.

I would just like to express my appreciation on that project.

Secondly, my concern is the daily traffic that we encounter at Katipunan ave to UP Diliman. I hope the DPWH can construct a second level road that by-pass Ateneo and Miriam College. It will trully have a great cost but in the long run it will save us in fuel and time cost by the billions of pesos.

Katipuna Ave. is a critical juncture of the C5 the connects NLEX and SLEX. I think this is just but logical that a second level can be constructed. If two bound lane is not fitted in a budget perhaps the Nortbound lane to NLEX can be constructed first.

I am expressing this idea because this is how I can help our government.

I know this will take some time. Perhaps the Japanese or Chinese government can help us fund the project for the second level. The Japanese and the Chinese will be interested to fund these cost saving projects.

    Thank you for your time.
