The Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (BMSMED) of the Department of Trade and Industry will continue to conduct a series of free entrepreneurship briefing sessions aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and imparting information necessary in starting and running a business.
The free briefing sessions which started in April will be a continuing activity of BMSMED for the year. Interested aspiring and existing entrepreneurs may attend the sessions every Tuesday, 1:30-4:00 p.m. at the BMSMED Training Room, 5/F DTI Building, 361 Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, Makati City.
For the month of June, topics are as follows: June 7: How to be an Entrepreneur and the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) Law; June 14: Orientation on the Labor Standards Enforcement Framework for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Awareness on the Benefit of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to Business Operations; June 21: Briefing on Export Procedures and Documentations and Orientation on the Import Procedures.
For the month of July, sessions will cover the following topics: July 19: Awareness on the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Services of the Department of Agriculture to SMEs and How to Make a Liquid Dishwashing and Detergent Soap; July 26: Awareness on Good Distribution Practices and Botika ng Bayan as Business Opportunity.
For the month of August, sessions will cover the following : August 2: How To Be An Entrepreneur and Integrated Business Licensing; August 9: Orientation on Strategic Business Planning for SMEs and How to Enhance Your Business Enterprise; August 16: Awareness on Consumer Rights and Protection and Orientation on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP); August 23: Customer Relationship Management and Business Opportunities in Franchising; August 30: Orientation on Food Fortification Program and Awareness on the Role of Intellectual Property in Business Growth.
