“DISKWENTO CARAVAN” ILULUNSAD NG QC, DTI

Nasa 80 hanggang 100 manufacturing industries ang katuwang ng Quezon City government at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) isasagawang “Diskwento Caravan” program sa siyudad.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, ang programa ay alinsunod sa “Handog sa Bayan: Balik-eskwela” project ng siyudad upang matulungan ang mga residente ng siyudad na mabawasan ang gastos sa mga gamit sa pag-aaral ng mga anak.

Inatasan na ni Mayor Herbert Bautista ang lahat ng barangay officials na hikayatin ang kanilang mga constituents na samantalahin ang oportunidad na makabili ng murang school supplies at iba pang pangunahing bilihin, lalo na ngayong pagbubukas ng klase.

Kumpiyansa si Bautista na ang pagtutulungan ng lokal na pamahalaan at DTI sa “Diskwento Caravan” project ay magpapalakas sa poverty alleviation program ng siyudad at makakatulong sa mga magulang na makabili ng gamit sa eskuwelahan sa murang halaga.

Sinabi ni City Administrator Victor Endriga na ang “Diskwento Caravan,” na gaganapin sa Hunyo 7 at 8 sa Quezon City Hall compound, ay bahagi ng pagsusumikap ng pamahalaan na mabigyan ang mga residente ng direktang access sa mga produkto ng  manufacturing industry.

Ayon kay Endriga, ang mga ibebentang school supplies tulad ng notebooks, lapis, crayons, papel, coupon bonds, erasers, bags, at iba pang school materials sa dalawang araw na caravan ay mabibili sa murang halaga, kabilang na ang ilang pangunahing bilihin.

Naniniwala si Endriga na makakatulong ang “Diskwento Caravan,” kahit sa maliit na paraan, sa mga magulang ngayong pasukan.

Inaasahan na dadagsa ang mga magulang/guardians ng nasa 400,000 estudyante  ngayong school year sa “Diskwento Caravan” program. -30- Divine/ Maureen Quinones, PAISO
