NAGSANIB puwersa ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Central Office, sa pangunguna ni Chairman Nelson P. Laluces at ang Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) sa pangunguna naman Chairman Mary Grace Poe LLamanzares, matapos lumagda sa isang kasunduan para magkatulungan sa pagpapatupad ng MC-95-007 at P.D. no. 1896 ng Implementing Rules and Regulations.
Ang dalawang Ahensiya ay nagka-isa para protektahan ang mga pampublikong mga pasahero sa mga malalaswang ipinapalabas sa television sa loob ng pampasaherong bus. Kailangan umano na ang ipapalabas sa television sa loob ng bus ay desente, may cultural values, may moral at puwedeng kapulutan ng aral.
Narito ang mga panuntunan na dapat sundin ng mga pampasaherong bus na may mga television sa loob ng sasakyan:
1. PUVs with installed television sets can only exhibit television programs and motion pictures with classification rating of General Audience (G) or Parental Guidance (PG) duly issued by the MTRCB.
2. PUVs required to post beside the screen warning “Ang bus na ito ay pinahihintulutang magpalabas ng pelikulang may klasipikasyong “G” at “PG” lamang. Agad itawag ang anumang paglabag sa telepono bilang 376-73-80;
3. Violations with regard to classification rating in accordance with P.D. no. 1986, MTRCB shall proceed to investigate and adjudicate accordingly;
4. BOTH AGENCIIES bind themselves to subsequently adopt joint measures for effective enforcement of any penalty or sanction;
5. In all proceeding related to LTFRB, the latter will be duly notified and furnished of relevant pleadings, motions, orders resolutions, or decisions;
6. Effective immediately upon execution.
Offenders may be proceeded upon in accordance with the Penal Code on Obscenity and may so be penalized accordingly, from fine to imprisonment.(RAFFY RICO/JIMMY CAMBA)
