QC NAGBIGAY NG DEADLINE SA PAGLALAGAY NG CCTV

Binigyan ng anim na buwan ng Quezon City government ang lahat ng estabilisimiento na maglagay ng closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) sa loob at labas ng kanilang puwesto upang  ma-renew ang kanilang business permit.

Inatasan ni Mayor Herbert Bautista si business permit and icensing office (BPLO) chief Pacifico Maghacot na ipatupad ang no-CCTV no-business permit policy simula sa susunod na taon.

Ang kautusan ni Bautista ay bahagi ng peace and order campaign ng lokal na pamahalaan upang mabawasan ang krimen o crime incidence lalung lalo na ang mga carnapping at kidnapping.

Hiniling din ni Mayor kay Maghacot na bigyang prayoridad ang pagpapatupad ng paglalagay ng CCTV sa lahat ng sinasabing high-risk establishments tulad ng car dealership at trade-in business, eskuwelahan, convenience stores, gasoline stations at bangko.

Sinabi ni Bautista na ang bagong patakaran ay ipapatupad bilang pre-requisite sa pagkuha o pagrenew ng business permit simula sa Enero 2012.

Subalit, sinabi niya na simula sa Agosto, magsasagawa ang BPLO ng inspeksyon sa mga establisimiento na nabigyan na ng kanilang business permit ngayong taon para masigurong makakasunod sila sa ipatutupad na CCTV policy.

“We will strictly implement the new policy on CCTV. No CCTV installation, no business permit,” tani Bautista.

Bukod sa mga high-risk establishment, nanawagan din si Bautista sa 142 barangays ng siyudad na maglagay na rin ng sariling CCTV cameras sa iba’t ibang areas of responsibility gamit ang kanilang calamity fund.

Nangako ang Mayor na maglalagay ng mga CCTV cameras sa mga stratehiyang lugar sa susunod na tatlong taon kabilang na sa mga densely-populated communities para masugpo  ang kriminalidad. -30- Divine/ Maureen Quinones, PAISO
