ALL QC BARANGAYS URGED TO FUND SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship grants should be given to at least two (2) deserving students in each of the 142 barangays in Quezon City.

In an approved resolution introduced by 4th district Councilor Raquel Malangen, the city council urged all the barangays of the city to study a possibility of appropriating funds in their respective barangay budgets for scholarship grants to at least two constituents.

These deserving constituents should be enrolled in any technical vocational school within the city, the resolution said..

Malangen said that education nowadays is no longer a right but a privilege wherein only those that could afford paying tuition could acquire proper education.

The councilor also said it is the QC government’s policy to promote and enhance the quality of education for its constituents. -30- Divine/ Maureen Quinones, PAISO
