ANAD scores rash of Maoist terrorist perpetrated crimes

ANAD Rep. Jun Alcover warned that the recent rash of abductions, murders. burning of heavy equipments, and robberies might be a prelude to a sort of a big bang that may be unleashed by the Maoist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF.

In his privilege speech yesterday before Congress (February 8), Rep. Alcover strongly condemned the following:

  • Murder of copra trader Pedrito Bico, his son Christian, and his driver Cripsin Gamer, and house help Armando Queto were mercilessly murders of plus another 2 persons last February 4, in Barangay Villadema, Municipality of Libmanan, Camarines Sur, last February 4;
  •  the burning of a prime mover truck, owned by FSTA trucking, and some 1,120 boxes of banana of DOLE (Philippine) last February 5, 2011 in Purok 7, Sitio Kipulut, Brgy. Palacapao, Municipality of Quezon, Province of Bukidnon by 30 armed NPAs wearing military fatrigue and camouflage uniforms;
  • the setting up of illegal checkpoints at Brgy. Dolo, Municipality of Bansalan, and in Brgy. Astorga, Municipality of Sta. Cruz, all in Davao del Sur, the Davao-Bukidnon highway, commonly known as BUDA, and at the highway in Barangay Marapat, Municipality of Compostela, Province of Compostela Valley as early as 5:30 AM pf February 6, 2011 by about 20 armed Maoist terrorist NPA of Guerrilla Front 20,

“All these resulted to the NPA’s taking the .45 caliber pistols of PO1 Edwin Antipuesto in Astorga, Davao del Sur and P01 Ace Villapaz along the Compostela Valley to Davao City highway, abduction of 2 army soldiers in Monkayo and another retired army soldier while traversing the BUDA highway,” Rep. Alcover explained.

He pointed out that the Maoist terrorist NPA’s not only are interested in making a statement but to make use of the leniency of government towards them because of the forthcoming peace talks, the perceived demoralization seeping into the ranks of the military and police, and in line towards their March 29 founding anniversary.

“The lighting of candles, led by President Aquino III does not mean anything but false hopes to our people,” he stressed.

“I call on all on Bayan Muna, Gabriela, Anakpawis, ACT, and Kabataan to stand up and call on your comrades in the Maoist terrorist NPA to put an end to their violence and inhumanity against the Filipino people,” he said.

“Now is the time for you to make yourself known as the true protectors of the Filipino people’s rights and not only lip-serving for your masters in the Maoist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF,” he added.-30- Joey Sison, ANAD
