Operatives arrested two watch-listed drug personalities and their cohorts in different buy-bust operations conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Mindanao.
The PDEA Regional Office 13 submitted a report to USec. JOSE S. GUTIERREZ, JR., regarding the buy-bust operation that the PDEA Special Enforcement Team carried-out at the suspect’s residence at Purok 3, Ambangan, Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City. Rhydon Ybasco y Bayobo @ Wewing, a watch-listed drug personality in the area, was arrested together with Melvin Ybasco y Bayobo @ Dodong, Alberto Dumanacal Jr. y Encinada, Jonathan Matabilas y Lapaz, Nelson Quiñonez II y Luna and Jerry Cerbania y Fajardo, who were also in the house at the time of the operation.
Confiscated from them were suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, marked money and one (1) unit cellphone. The seized illegal drugs were forwarded to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspects are temporarily detained at PDEA RO 13 awaiting their cases for violating Sections 5, 6, 7 and 12 of Article II of RA 9165 for maintenance of a den and visiting the same as well as sale and possession of illegal drug and drug paraphernalia.
Another watch-listed drug personality was nabbed by Intel Operatives of PDEA Regional Office 10 at Brgy. 2, Tiano-Gaerlan, Cagayan de Oro City. The operation led to the arrest of Al Pacino Pantin y Zafra where one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu was confiscated and brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory for further examination. For the meantime, Pantin was held at PDEA RO 10 detention facility while his case is being filed for violation of RA 9165.
Further, cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 were filed against Emma Actub y Janalul, Jhun Ray Actub y Janalul and Riza Joy Gilo y Perez at the Isabela Prosecutors Office and presently under the custody of Isabela City Jail. Said suspects were arrested by agents of PDEA Regional Office 9 based in Basilan and by Isabela Central Police Station in a buy-bust operation at the vicinity of Budbud Marketside, Isabela City, Basilan, where shabu with a total weight of 0.0236 grams was confiscated.-30- Derrick Arnold Carreon, PIO-PDEA
