MICROINSURANCE INILUNSAD SA KYUSI

 

GINANAP kahapon ang paglulunsad ng ‘Financial Literacy on Microinsurance’ sa Quezon City Hall kung saan nagkaroon din ng paglalagda ng Kasunduan sa pagitan nina Alkalde Herbert M. Bautista ng Lungsod ng Quezon at Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel F. Dooc.

Layunin umano na matulungan ang mga sektor na may mababang kita na mabigyan ng proteksiyon ang buhay, bahay at kabuhayan.

Sa nasabing okasyon ay nilagdaan din ni Komisyoner Dooc ang tatlong (3) ‘Circular’ ng kanyang tanggapan. Ito ay ang ‘Guidelines for the Approval of Training Programs and Licensing of Microinsurance Agents’, ‘Regulations for the Provisions of Microinsurance Products and Services’, at ‘Performance Standards for Microinsurance’.

Kaugnay din sa pagiging Chairman ng Socialized Development Committee ng Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at Region Development Council ng Metro Manila ay nag-utos sa Sikap Buhay na makipag-ugnayan sa mga alkalde ng Kalakhang Maynila upang magsagawa ng pagpupulong upang mailunsad din sa iba’t ibang munisipalidad ang katiyakang magkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga tinaguriang ‘marginalized group’ na makapagpaseguro.

Matatandaan na naging mahina ang nagpapaseguro sa kasalukuyan dahil na rin sa kakulangan ng kaalaman at pag-intindi ng kabutihang dulot ng pagpapaseguro. Maliban pa rito ay nagkaroon din ng kabi-kabila suliranin na kinaharap ang mga malalaking kumpanya ng pasiguruhan kayat nagkaroon ng negatibong pananaw ang publiko.-30-
